About the role
Lead residential construction projects from pre-construction through possession. Manage schedules, trades, site progress, inspections, materials, budgets, and overall construction quality. The key leader ensuring projects move efficiently, stay on schedule, and meet Lexiar's high standards for craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Manage residential construction projects from planning through possession.
- Coordinate trades, suppliers, site supervisors, engineers, designers, and internal team members.
- Review architectural drawings, engineering plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction details.
- Build, maintain, and update construction schedules with a strong focus on efficiency.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspect work at each stage of construction.
- Maintain deficiency lists and ensure all issues are completed before client walkthroughs.
- Coordinate permits, inspections, drawing revisions, materials, and documentation.
- Track project budgets, change orders, costs, and potential financial risks.
- Ensure all trade work meets quality, safety, schedule, and documentation expectations.
- Maintain project updates, site notes, photos, deficiency logs, and records in BuildXact.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of residential construction project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, codes, inspections, and site coordination.
- Experience managing multiple active projects and trade teams.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Close attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- Experience with BuildXact or similar construction management software is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license required, reliable transportation preferred.
- Located in Calgary or within reasonable commuting distance.
